easy hairclip gift

It's The Mrs. here with the first post.  I thought I'd start off simple with a DIY hairclip.  This makes the perfect gift for new baby girls, a sweet stocking stuffer, or a fun way to attach a gift tag to your little girl's presents this Christmas.  There are many variations on this simple craft, but here's what I did.

1. Buy a pack of pre-covered clips.
2. Cut 3 different sized circles out of fabric (i used felt here, but I have also used some of Mr's old dress shirts, or other fabric scraps as well)
3. Cut circles into flowers with however many petals you choose.  They don't have to be perfect, or evcen all the same...that's part of their charm!
4. Sew button on top to attach all the layers (if you're not a sewer you can even glue on a button or sparkly extra!)
5. Glue onto hairclip.....DONE!

These are easy to make, especially if you get a system going.  So put on your favorite Christmas CD and enjoy making this sweet little craft.
